The Winter Holidays are a great opportunity to visit Sitges. Each town in Spain has its own festivities and events during that time. The Christmas season ends with Reyes Magos (Three Kings Day) at the fifth of January. On this day it is remembered that the Three Kings from the East; Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar, followed a star to give presents to the newborn Jesus in Bethlehem.
Nowadays they will come on their camels to Spain so the children will receive on the morning of the 6th of January their presents. During the night they will leave the earlier asked presents, written in the child’s letter, in the houses.
Experience this unique event in Sitges where there is a special Three Kings Parade. The parade departs from Avenida Sofia, only 5 minutes from Hotel San Sebastian Playa. It will end in the town hall in the historic part of the city where children can hand over their letters or wish lists to the Kings.
Be early if you want to see the parade, everyone in the city comes to welcome the “Reyes” so it will be busy.
