The narrow and picturesque streets of Sitges are ideal for shopping; you can find all kind of different store´s here. You can buy souvenirs, clothes, shoes, accessories, crafts and many more. Therefore we just wanted to give you some tips about where to shop during your weekend in Sitges ...
Most of the most shops can be found in the old center of Sitges. All of the shopping streets are located along the streets Calle Major and Calle Sant Francesc. Two other streets along are Calle Parellades and Calle Jesús. A good starting point for your shopping journey is Placa Cap de la Vila, all four streets are connected to this square.
If you love the little boutique style shops, you are in luck, SItges has many of them. Many offer fashionable clothing by local designers. Sitges is not really a town of the big brands and traditional shops, it tends to offer a more cutting edge and original style. Of course there are also some of the chain shops like Replay, Lacoste, United Colors of Benetton, Adolfo Dominguez, etc …...
The ‘Sales’ time is a great period to visit SItges by the way. You can really go bargain hunting and find some great deals. It starts every year on the 7th of January and the 1st of July. But we noticed that even mid December there are already good offer available for Christmas shopping.
If you are looking for more bargains, than visit the market. On Thursdays there is an outdoor market held in Sitges where you can buy all sorts of clothes, food, meet, vegetables fruits and fish for cheap prices.
Due to the fact that Sitges is a tourism destination, many shops have more convenient shopping hours than in other parts of Spain. A lot of shops in Sitges don´t close for siesta, especially the chain shops. And best of all they are open on Sundays!
For shopping Sitges has it all!
