The Garraf Natural Park is located just 30 kilometers south-west of Barcelona right next to Sitges. It is known of its astonishing mountains and lovely views. Perfect for an active vacation and hinking in Catalonia. The harsh environmental conditions of the Garraf, the lack of water and vegetation, mean that it is not a home to a great wealth of wildlife. However it does make it that the landscape is very rough and pure. There are also some distinctive forms of birdlife that can only be found here....
One of the best ways to explore the 12.820 hectares of the Garraf is through hiking. There are lots of beautiful places that can only be reached by foot. Therefore the Garraf is a privileged destination for hikers and hill walkers. You can walk for kilometers without seeing anyone and experience the peace of being in-between the natural environments.
There is a wide variety of hiking trails available, there are lots of signposted long and short distance trails which you can follow. If you really want to get to know the region you should consider doing a guided tour, this will show you the most beautiful forgotten places. There are also special bird watching tours, here they will take you to the best birding spots and help you to identify the birds.
